What we collect

• Your pass details — the car wash and plan you chose, your vehicle plate number, and the photo of your car you upload.
• Wash records — the date and time of each check-in at a partner location.
• Payment records — amount and the payment provider's transaction reference. We never receive or store your full card number.
• An account identifier created automatically when you first open the app, so your passes stay attached to you.
• A short-lived scan record — if you scan a car wash's QR code and do not have the app, we store a one-way scrambled fingerprint of your network address and the kind of phone you are using, along with which car wash you scanned. It exists only so the app can open that car wash the first time you launch it. It is deleted the moment it is used and expires after 30 minutes either way. It is not your address, it cannot be turned back into it, and it is not linked to you or to any account.
• Your email address, if you choose to add one so your passes can be recovered on a new phone. Signing in with Google or Apple instead gives us the same thing: an email address and nothing more. This is optional — the app works without it.
• Messages you send a car wash through the app, with your plate number attached so they know which customer to answer.

WashPass contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Nothing about you is shared with any other company for advertising or measurement, and nothing you do in the app is followed across other apps or websites.

Why we collect it

To create and validate your pass, let partner staff confirm the car at check-in, count washes against your plan, process payments and renewals, and show partners the subscribers and visits at their own location.

Who can see it

The partner car wash you subscribe to can see your plate, car photo, plan, wash count and payment status — this is what allows them to serve you. Partners cannot see your data for other car washes. Payment processing is handled by a licensed payment provider under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure, protected by access rules that restrict each party to the data it needs.

The database holding your passes, plate, car photo and payment records is located in Doha, Qatar, and the servers that read and write it are in the same place. Your sign-in details are held by Google Firebase Authentication, which may process them elsewhere, including the United States.

This means the information above is transferred outside Oman and stored there, under Google's security and privacy commitments. By using WashPass you agree to that transfer. If you would prefer your data not be held outside Oman, do not create a pass, and contact us to have an existing account deleted.

How long we keep it

We keep pass, wash and payment records while your account is active and afterwards where needed for accounting and dispute resolution.

Your choices

You can cancel a pass at any time in the app. To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email washpass666@gmail.com. Note that payment records may be retained where record-keeping obligations apply.
